S.I.G.E.A. S.p.A. is located in Avigliana (TO) in the northwest of Italy. Since 1961 S.I.G.E.A. is specialized in producing organic rubber compounds for all the most important sectors and for all the particular applications where high quality parameters are required.

The production plant and the offices are spread over 33.000mq (11.000mq covered) where the full informatized production process and of the experience of the highly specialized staff allow SIGEA to be an important player in rubber compounding industry. SIGEA compounds could be used in automotive, nautical, pharmaceutical, home appliance, oil & gas sectors and others.

1948

Mr. Giovanni Giovale started up the company, originally called ILGAT, in Turin

1961

Relocation of the plant in via Don Balbiano 13, Avigliana and name changed in SIGEA

Anni '70

Affirmation of SIGEA as a self-compounder and manufacturer of technical molded parts in the household appliance and automotive sectors

Anni '80

Beginning of compounding business for third parties in wire sector

1991

Set up of the manufacturing plant in Viale Mareschi 1, Avigliana, totally dedicated in production of compounds

1997

Expansion of the factory in Viale Mareschi 1 consisting in a brand new production line exclusively dedicated for black compounds

1998

ISO 9001 certification achievement

2002

R&D laboratory expansion in order to develop compounds that comply with the new and most recent regulations

2007

Total conversion of company resources in the production of compounds on behalf of third parties

2008

Set up of a new production line exclusively dedicated for white and colored compounds

2010

Integrated Management System implementation in order to have the full traceability of the production process

2013

Complete automation of the weighing of liquid and powder raw material

2018

Upgrading of the filtering lines with a new gear pump extruder
